A native to Camden, NJ, LaMia has trained, instructed, and choreographed in various forms of Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop  and Ballet. After attending The University of the Arts and extensive training with several Philadelphia-based companies, LaMia and her son moved to Atlanta in 2014. Since then, she has worked closely with T. Lang Dance,  Emory and Spelman Dance, Fly on a Wall, and many others. LaMia and her co-founder, Anthony Rhodes's Philadelphia-based company, Reveal Movement, has performed four original works between 2016 and 2019 and will be embarking on their fifth work.
