About the Festival
Unfold Dance Festival is a five-day, curated summer dance experience in Atlanta, GA. Through morning movement classes in contemporary dance, floorwork, and partnering, paired with guest artist classes and afternoon creative rehearsals, dancers will engage a wide range of approaches, techniques, and pedagogies from Atlanta’s vibrant creative community.
In addition to daily technique training, participants will collaborate in the creative process of a new, original work by Catching Mangoes Dance or Medina Movement Collective, culminating the festival with a free public performance.

How is casting determined?
6
Casting will be determined by dancers’ festival application materials and a short audition on the first day of the festival. All dancers participating in the full festival will be cast in one work. Official cast lists will be sent out via e-mail before Day 2.
Dancers who do not want to perform in the in-studio showing have the option to be an understudy or alternate for the work they are casted in to allow for continuous engagement in the creative process. We ask all dancers attending the full festival to participate in the audition regardless of performance interest. Please reach out to the team if you have further questions about casting.
